October 31: WBC Bantamweight Champion Mariana Juarez Defends Title Against Former Champion Yulihan Luna

Promociones del Pueblo, in association with Cancún Boxing and Boxing Time, presents WBC Bantamweight Champion Mariana “Barby” Juarez (59-9-4, 18 KOs) defending her belt against dangerous former world champion Yulihan “Cobrita” Luna (19-3-1, 3 KOs) on Saturday at the Oasis Arena in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

After the much anticipated matchup against Jackie Nava was cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis, Juarez stayed determined to her craft, continuing training for a return to action.

The 40 year old champion is striving for win number 55 on Saturday before 2021 and her desire to move up in weight and contend against WBC Super Bantamweight Champion Yamileth Mercado.

Former IBF Super Bantamweight Champion, Luna, knows what it takes to be queen of the world and looks to thwart the champs plans. With age on her side, she has been training relentless under father/coach and former boxer Julio Luna.

Despite the pandemic, female boxing is flourishing as 2020 comes to a close. Juarez vs. Luna continues that appeal.
